Today is the three weeks of the last fashion lesson, we show our classmates our work, also shows our sketchbook, shows our production process.The teacher and classmates also made comments on each other.I learned a lot during this process, very beginning can get to know so many people, very happy that I can learn a lot of things in this three weeks, know where his is bad, what are my strengths.Most of the time, I always want to know more than others, but in fact every one of us should be down-to-earth, to get things done.

Fashion design has always been my dream, I want to do it well, this is my last choice, I hope that six weeks later return to fashion studio, I could have done all I could do better.I enjoy the process, I will be more concerned about the process and results, I want to put their best works display, prove his uncommon.Thank you teacher this period of education and care, I will do better.

29/9/2016- final piece

This is my final piece.

 

Today, I invited my classmate Cynthia as my model, do I try it on to take a picture of the clothes to finish my final piece. She is not only my model or her own clothing model. First, I gave her makeup, I will not make up, I just took bb frost and lipstick. In the help of students, we give Cynthia drew eye shadow, look line, eyebrows.

We make up after complete and began to dress, at first was to will be a single piece of paper rose (I personally fold) Cynthia posted on the eyes, but a few times attempt to have failed. Then is sleeves, there is no suture sleeves, Cynthia very thin, so will sleeves down away. I went to the studio found in pins, I use to pin sleeves don’t in clothes.

In the process of taking pictures, because only Cynthia and I, a lot of things I can only do a person, such as light tone, consider action, photoshop and so on. Cynthia shy, so she has a lot of action can’t do, can’t wear clothes exposed too, so caused the coat lost sexy feeling.But Cynthia relaxed, some action do naturally.

In the afternoon, I take Cynthia help her clothes, we shot outdoors. Outdoor enough light, not background drab, taken out of the effect is very good. This is taken indoor and outdoor taken difference.

Evaluation

Before I just do this design,  When I chose the vice vase painting , I don’t think too much about the painting, I thought it very bad for my design, because I just think it’s very nice and colourful, did not have too much idea on the drawing,so I design dress are not good. I must consider the connotation of my chose painting,  It can improv my design level.

When I imitated my chose painting, I always thought It very easy to make and draw, but I didn’t considered part of design.I must found some dark colour to do the background colour and found some clothes have many different shapes of flowers.So I paid the price for my choice,I went to the second hands clothes shop four times,the other classmate only went once to twice. It was very tired and spent so much time.It was wasted of time and money. I tried to find some details or characteristics,but I couldn’t found these,because only have the flowers and fruits and a monkey in the painting and these were very easy and ordinary, I didn’t know what I could wrote in my sketchbook, my work was very hard.

Even if I not did very well at the beginning, but I still didn’t give up my choice. I thought ,all inspiration have the existence of meaning. I chose this painting, I should did all things well. I used more time to research this painting and made my mind-map, I found more painting to chose suit my mind-map to make my mood-brood ,like some flowers paintings, vase photos and some model wear flower clothes photos.I think I very serious and careful in made mind-map and moon-brood, it a good begin in the design.At least, I knew what I should do and what ways to do. The mind-map is very important in design and drawing.

-About my sketchbook

About artists research, I can take advantage of accurate details, you can from their work can be found in draw lessons from the place, we will improve use it to my work. I wrote mindmap accelerated and moonbrood speed, for my creative saves time. This is I don’t think I’d better place.

I finished my mind-map and moon-brood, I chose some clothes to tried to combination and joining together, changed more clothes and decorations, and chose four best design in original my 9 design. In many time, nails pricked my hand,clothes fall off the body of model, many difficulties were overcame by me. If I was careless, I though my design won bad. Even if it was very tired everyday, but I thought these things were very meaningful and interesting, I chose this course (fashion) I must pay my energy and time to learn it, and it is my favorite thing. To be a fashion designer is my dream.

-about the clothes design

About description some details. This was my first time to do sketchbook,  I didn’t have experience.In the past, I didn’t wrote some details with my design. But now, though my teachers taught, I changed my sketchbook and blog, I could saw more explain and inspiration in my works, I thought it my progress.

I used my weekend to finished my 20 design, I chose my favorite design to do based and used my imagination to draw these design. I often used the mark pen to draw, mark pen can help to show the clothes better in the model, but I couldn’t used the water colour to draw, I thought it was very difficult for me.My teacher told me, try to used, I can use it very well. This was my insufficient , I will change it.

-About my final piece

Now, I finished my final piece, I back to see process of make clothes, I think this design have more positive parts and negative parts.

1.about made the clothes

I never made clothes in past time, I didn’t often use the sewing machine and needle and thread in China, so I couldn’t sew a straight line. When I made mistakes, I must took out stitches to start again.So I practiced it over and over again, on Wednesday I could sew a straight line and I finished made my dress and sleeve. I though failure made me progress.

2.about make-up

I invited my classmate Cynthia to be my model, I didn’t know how to make-up with the face, eyes and eyebrows, I only knew how to make-up with the mouth, so I found easter and other classmate helped me to make-up.Because I couldn’t make-up , the make-up was not very appropriate with my clothes, so I should tried to use camera and light to changed the make-up. Though this thing I thought I must to learn how to make-up with others.

3.about took photos

Taking photos is not very easy. You must know relationship with light and something and how to enhance picture feeling. I learned took photos in China with my father, so I can skilled use the camera to take photos, with the my teacher pitt’s help, I finished my design photography. It was very easy for me. But I didn’t liked take photos inside, because the background is very drab and the light was no bright enough. I helped the Cynthia to took photos with her clothes outside, the effect is better than inside.

-Summary

In general, my design and production process is also calculate goes well, I learned a lot of things from my friends , I learned to use a sewing machine, I learned how to tear open line, I learned how to take photos  well, I learned how to choose to take  photos of the background, learned to make up a little method, learned how to do sketchbook. I used to write the blog every day, every in the busy life. The most important thing made friend with a lot of people , this is my first time to study go abroad , for the first time feel help each other of warm, the teachers are very good. I have my own evaluation, full marks one hundred points, I give myself a eighty, because I think I’m trying to enough, I can also do well, whether in drawing aspects in production or side, I am very carefully seriously, I also remember what I learned, I know, those are the rest of your life I want to use all things.But I have a lot of things didn’t do well, I to do better to and efforts to do their best to to complete should I do.

28/9/2016-make own garment

This was my final piece (design), it us in my 20 design.It only had a  dress (had two different shapes dress ）

For never clothes made me, clothes will make it’s hard to is a thing. But now that I need to do is to do the best. I asked my classmate asked tear open line method, I speak to the blue dress apart, half do skirt half do sleeves. The teacher taught me how to line the seam straight, I tried to through his understanding of the two pieces of skirt to sew together, seam wrong five times, I open it to continue to sew line until to sew a right line so far.

Seam skirts and sleeves, I will use the needle and thread first at the top of the fixed position live and then use a sewing machine will be part of the following seam up. To do a good after speak on top of the line apart, in order to make it easier for the model can wear on clothes.

I’m going to all the details of the written in the sketchbook, skirt seems to be simple, but actually it’s hard to do it. I asked my classmate as a model, put on my clothes, and I to take a picture. In the photo appear in a bad place, I will again changes. His do my best to make it well. This article make clothes, spent a day of the time.

Although process is hard, but also is worth it. I enjoyed make the process of clothes, I also from students learn a lot.

27/9/2016-contextual.

In this class, we continued our last lesson topic of surrealism, that  forms of expression, a kind of surreal expression, so this lesson the teacher let us draw a few random abstract painting.I was surprised to find my first painting can draw a face, have had eyes, mouth and hands with three fingers, we show the art of madness in this mode.Very interesting, but also can vent.

      

In addition to the above abstract painting, we use several kinds of pattern for collage, I will cat pattern according to different size to print the two points, and clipped them.I will resizing images of rats and clipped head and two hands to stick together, will be another girl on the picture of the hair cut down on the head of the mouse, becomes the lady a mouse, and then two cats on the lady at the back of the mouse.Although very simple, but I think this is a very interesting experience for me.

 

26/9/2016-made our clothes

Yesterday I used all.day to finished my 20 designs, So my work is different with others. My work is tried to make a clothes and reported about the work of last week.

Today， we show our works in second week.I made my sketchbook was not very well in my group, but I konw how to use the mark pen, so I thought my design drawings areq good in my group. My fashion teachers told me, I can try to use the colour pencil or water colour to draw painting.

We had a new task, we shoulded chose a design to make a clothes by ourselves.I thought it very difficult, because I didn’t how to remove stitches, and I didn’t know who can do model for me.But I thought I very luck, Rose and my teacher(Louis) taught me how to removed stitches, and cynthia agreed did the model for me.

I tried to removed stitches, I successful cut a dress in half.

23/9/2016-design drawing

Today is Friday, it is the end of second week. We were drew clothes design all the day, we must drew the  front and back on the clothes, we putted clothes on the model and took photos with the model. We printed and cut these photos, and we pasted the shape of clothes into the sketchbook.

We drew clothes according to these shapes of imitation.It was not easy, because shapes is big and we used drawing tools were colour pencils.

Today we did not learn a lot of things, all is in the drawing.The teacher taught me how to copy the photos, I saw some school books about doing sketchbook and draw the drawings, I think I need to buy a book to see, also want to practice more.

I aquarelle is not good, I like to use color lead or mark pen drawing, but the color of lead paint is very troublesome, need to spend a lot of time, water is very convenient, with less time.Because I painted watercolour not good-looking, so I think I’ll have more seriously to learn how to watercolor painting, enrich my skills.

22/9/2016-Design our clothes

Today, I used my bought second hand clothes to designed my idea clothes, I tried about 15 designs , but I only took photos on 9 designs. We must take photos with the back and front  at the clothes, and we through these photos to choose four designs to draw them.

But,I had the photography class in the afternoon, so I can’t choose designs with teacher.

I really like take photo, I have a camera, I often use the camera when I go on a trip.In the last mouth, my father taught me how to use the camera, so I finish my work very fast. Our teacher showed us how to turned the camera, and how to catch moving something, like ride bicycle, people walking in the street.In the part 2, he taught us how to take photo with the flowers, and how to make background blur. I showed my photos to my teacher, my teacher always said:’ye, that’s ok.’ I thought I must say thank you to my father.

21/9/2016-drawing and sewing machine

Today I studied how to use the sewing machine , the school sewing machines are different with the Chinese. The Chinese machine all use by our hand, but school sewing machine use with machine and electricity. This was my first time to use this machine.Our teacher taught us how to use the machine,and how to sew the line. My first problem was I can’t sew a straight line. My classmate called Rose , she help me to sew a line, and my teacher gave me some paper and a cloth to try and practice. I used my lunch time to practiced it, I think I must use more time to practice.

In the afternoon, it was visual class time, we went to the street to drawing the buildings. I didn’t how to do, but I followed my idea to drew it, I used one and half hours to finished it, It made me very tired, but I very enjoyed it.

We studied the Dada in contextual class today, Jo showed some works about Dada to us, and asked us to make a casual paper collage. These papers were used some words in the newspapers, we cut some words to paste in the paper. I think it very funny.

Max Ernst

Max Ernst 1891-1976 Ernst, a German-born French painter and sculptor. Dada and surrealism of the soul. He is known for his extremely varied styles and techniques. Most of his art focuses on illusion and disturbing imagination. Fantastic paintings such as The Elephant Cyrus and the Rain Europe are filled with magical and exotic images.

My impression of this artist is his paintings, full of madness and imagination. He can be very good to express their ideas in their own works.

Alp

Alp (Arp, Jean 1887 ~ 1966), September 16, 1887 was born in Strasbourg, his father is a German, his mother is French, he has a dual nationality Germany – France, sculptor, painter, poet And abstract artists.
