Today only had half day fashionclass,  in the afternoon I studied life drawing.

I used one morning to sort out my photos, to select some of the most useful places in my photographs about my research on the movement, and then to analyze them. I also added to my mind map, I have chosen my own picture of the ten were analyzed in some areas where I can do the development of the mark, I hope I can do this project is very it is good.

Some things are not that simple, I want to try to make a pair of pants, but I think this may be very difficult for me, but I want to try, so I also made the analysis of pants, trousers fold relative to clothes Will be more obvious.

28/11/2016-fashion design class 1

Thought 3 rotation classes, I already learned more different skill about do craft, photography and do clothes. Now, I come back fashion design classroom again to study the fashion design, I fell very happy, I will use more care and patience to face my studies.

Today Alice gave us a new teamwork, that was we should went outside to take photos about  body movement. At first my team members made a original mind map together, we tried to write some words about body movement, like kiss, shaking, drinking, dancing and so on and then we follow our mind map to go to the city center to take photos with people. But people only walked fast or chatted on the road, we couldn’t took photos with somebody jump or dance. When we went to eat lunch, we found somebody played guitar on the floor. We didn’t take enough photos, so we let easter to try make-up and we took photos with easter.

In the afternoon, my team chose 10 photos together, but because other member didn’t print their photos, so they want to use my photos for the moment, we chose these 10 photos in this night. We look around other groups works, I think we need to change.

At night, I used my chose 10 photos to do the background for my mind-map, because I think these photos have some relationship with my mind-map. I stick my 50 photos in my sketchbook and I write and drawing some detail near my photos. I hope this project I can show own all skill and do my best.

17/11/2016- last craft class

This is the last one this week, hand lesson, the next lesson we will complete our assessment, and this lesson we have to improve our final piece, and by checking the kat to improve our sketchbook. I based on the experience of the first two rotation to do almost the same. Only the final piece of photography photos show, okay, everything is going well, but one of my final piece on the hostel, there is no way to take pictures, I decided to write evaluation and assessment online.

In the afternoon, kat let me take my sketchbook to her, want to see if I have not missed the place. I am really nervous, because I know that every rotation has a different way to do sketchbook, I am afraid the teacher is not satisfied, the teacher angry and the like. Prior to this I have very seriously read their sketchbook, can write to write on. As the teacher looked, I explained what I was doing. I heard the teacher is not very angry tone I was relieved. The teacher let me go back to make up some of the things, not too much, I soon almost finished.

When I write evaluation, I am very hard to observe my work and my sketchbook, to find out a lot of advantages and disadvantages, I try to analyze from many angles, and then included in my evaluation. Only seriously can make good things.

16/11/2016-UCAS trip

Today is a special day, yesterday after a contextual trip, visited the Museum of Art, today we are going to participate in ucas school counseling. After nearly two hours of driving, we came to a building in London. For the first time, feel special luxury. Then all of us went to the entrance to the council by the printed ticket.

There are many schools of arts, schools, and many schools in Edinburgh, London, Norwich, Nottingham, and so on. Every time I go through a school counseling office, will take their books to see, there are a lot of student works, as well as the introduction of school life, etc., the production is very beautiful, of course, these are some general highlights. Many schools will give students passing a small gift, I got a school to the candy, as well as ual bag, which is filled with the school I am interested in the introduction of the book.img_20161116_122139.jpg

I am most interested in the school is london college of fashion, Westminster, Kingston three schools. I took a lot of these three schools of books, in order to let myself better understand these schools. Central Saint Martin is a particularly good school, only enough to be creative enough to go, why I say that because I saw their school works, works are crazy enough imaginative enough.

Read a lot of schools, I began to firm my own beliefs, I have to work hard to prepare my English grades and my protflio, in order to go to the school they want to fight is worth it. I will make my best efforts to make the best works.

the afternoon, we went back to school after lunch, and I was thinking all the way to my formal class, when I began to do my own work, I will do how, I will not have progress compared to before. I think all the speculation is unrealistic, I should start from now, the only way to have good results.

The most comprehensive exhibition about Fiji and Fijian art ever assembled, Fiji: Art and Life in the Pacific will highlight exceptional collections from the UK and elsewhere, including the Fiji Museum.

The exhibition will bring together beautiful historic objects such as wood sculpture, bowls, canoes, weapons, large painted barkcloths and finely crafted objects made of shell and whale ivory, as well as examples of contemporary art.

Continuity of artistic practice in Fiji will be explored. Among the highlights will be a specially commissioned 26-ft sailing canoe and barkcloth wedding dresses. 

Over 250 objects, paintings, drawings and historic photographs will celebrate Fijian creativity and the important place of art in Fijian culture.

Today we are going to Fiji, an affiliated art museum in Norwich, the second largest museum I have ever visited in the UK. There are many projects in this museum, such as craft, painting, fashion, history and so on.
After more than an hour’s drive, we came to this museum. From the appearance point of view, this museum is particularly spectacular, I think it should be great. I put down my bag and my classmates went to the museum to visit.

The first piece that attracted me particularly was an abstract painting. The main colors are red black and gray, which I wanted to study after the art theme of depression like. Red represents the blood, black and gray represents the eyes of depressed patients the color of the world. Patterns like blood and bandage wrapped, tied and painful.

The second thing that attracted me was a hazy painting. The picture is like two people embracing. Obscure sense is a special attempt, although only see the outline, but can clearly show the author want to express the meaning. The first three works belong to the type of painting, I want to talk about other works belonging to the type of sculpture, some with Chinese elements. For example, the following figure, is a typical Chinese style, suddenly caught my eye. The sculpture on the left is a traditional stone lion, symbolizing the auspicious fortune into treasure safe. On the right of the sculpture is reflected in the seven eighteenth century Chinese people dressing way, long cloth, more folds.

And that period of v-collar fashion clothes. Women like to wear shoes. From this picture can only see a woman’s style of dress at that time.

That period of clothes are more loose, light and thin. Because you can see from the painting is obvious fold and wide cuffs.

This porcelain is also a Chinese work. This can be seen from the pattern above, this pattern is the traditional Chinese clothing and decorations with the most patterns, the Chinese Olympic Games torch inspiration similar to the clouds. If you let me introduce this work, it is absolutely and all the previous works are not the same. This work may not inspire my design. But this work makes me the most interesting place when the little dancer upright gestures, pride and freedom, this is the two words that appear in my mind. I used to dream, has come with a dream today, do not know when I can like this little dancer, proud standing in front of others. I should have done a lot of effort to complete it, I also believe in myself.

Here to see the museum, the only regret is not to see the Japanese Photography Exhibition, but it does not matter, where I harvest a lot of things, there are drawing material, learned a lot about the history of art, many countries, Culture, this is really a good experience.

11/11/2016- Make colour on the ceramic

Today is the last day in the second week in this rotation, so all student started to did the final piece, but today’s work also important for us. Today we followed the teacher to make the colour on our ceramics, all ceramics were finished in the last week, some ceramics were broke. The teacher showed us how to make colour and if the colour was dry how we can do and then we started to do our work, I chose some very next colour to do one. This thing must do careful, because if you use much water to draw, when the colour dry, they will break, and it very ugly. So I try to make colour more careful and patient.

When I finished this work, I must to do my final piece. In the first time, I want to do the metal necklace as my final work, but I think it very simple, so I tried to do a glass mirror necklace add my final work.

So I made some glass mirror patterns. When I do the glass, the teacher told me repeatedly to bring gloves and glasses, so you can protect my eyes, but I have not heard, this is my bad, I have been quick to forget their own safety. Thank you very much teacher always remind me, I will always pay attention to.

I will always pay attention to their own in the future, no matter what things should be put into self-confidence and patience to do something. Impatience and quickness will only make their own works fail.

10/11/2016-test design

The next week is this rotation final week, so today we did the test design about the final design. I drew 6 test design had phone shell, make-up mirror, necklace, earring and a mirror ring in my sketchbook. I want to use the metal to do my final piece, so I took a test in the afternoon.

The first one I want to try to do the phone shell. First thing was cut a big metal as a phone shell and then cut 4 little squares for four corners of the metal. I used the pillar drill to make two holes as volume button, I used the hammers to banging the back of metal as a camera holes and beat the four sides of metal, make this  phone shell more real. But I think it no good, because I couldn’t made the camera hole and I not did 4 same sides for metal. The test is a failure, because my side is not neatly cut, it is not a shape. Camera tube tube did not do it successfully, I gave up this design, began to do another design.

The second one I want to make a necklace, I will use my patience and confidence and careful to do this.

Production methods and I used to do when the metal is particularly similar to the use of the link, there are cutting holes. May be due to the reasons for doing this project is very convenient, so I want to choose to do this as my final piece. I think I should end it with some ornaments, like it will not be so monotonous.

9/11/2016-Glass

Today Kat taught us to do the glass craft work.  Before we did the glass, Kat asked us to do the collage to develop our idea about do the glass. At the start, I used some very simple photo to cut, but Kat told me these things are boring and simple, so I tried to take some photos about the image in the mirror, it could made my collages colourful. I tried my best to do my collages, but I thought these no very crazy and  plentiful, so in the next time I will use my all the best ideas and imagination to do.

At the 11:00, Kat taught us how to do the glass works. I learned how to cut the glass twice. I  think we must very careful because the glass may be hurt our hands. I used many different colour glass to do  my work, I used the glue to make these glass together. At the end, I finished three different shapes glass. Do the glass is a very interesting things I think. 🙂

I am very much looking forward to the birth of the windmill-shaped, collage-shaped and small tortoise-shaped glass I made

When I finish this class, I know if I want to do a thing very beautiful, I must very careful and patient, because when I put the little glass on the glass, the big glass will move, if I don’t have the patience, I think I can’t finish it. The craft is very interesting, I can learn so many things in the class.

Van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo of his excitement about “the modern portrait,” a picture that renders character not by the imitation of the sitter’s appearance but through the independent, vivid life of color. Van Gogh’s subject in this painting, Joseph Roulin, worked for a post office in the French town of Arles. He was not a letter carrier but rather held a higher position as an official sorting mail at the train station. Van Gogh and Roulin lived on the same street and became close friends. Van Gogh painted many portraits of Roulin. This picture, which van Gogh boasted of having completed quickly, in a single session, was painted after Roulin got a better-paying job and left Arles. Some scholars think that this portrait was not painted from life but rather from memory or from previous portraits.

The two paintings are similar in the same painting with a bearded middle-aged man, painting only draw the man’s upper body. Bearded parts are characterized by dense lines.

The first difference is that the first one is used in a painting with a pencil and the other one is oil painting, not the same way, one is more detailed characterization of character and image, the other is the use of lines to express the image of the characters.

From their performance techniques can be seen in different times, style and painting is a lot of different places. But the two paintings are painted the same as some of the details of the human face features.

The first picture of the time in the Netherlands, the impressionist period of the picture, so the paintings are based on the impression that the description, the basic will not be realistic and portrayed the scene, so there will be different backgrounds.

The abstract art of Picasso, popular in 1914, did not stand out as a clear-cut realism, but expressed the details of the mission without any religious significance, simply expressing a mood and an idea.

From these two pictures, I understand one of the most obvious reason is that no matter what a painting, it will represent an era of fashion trends and social background at the time. Each era will have a style of mutual correspondence, would like to know an era of development, from some works of art can be well studied.

 

4/11/2016- Ceramics

Today, we tried to do some different things. In the last class, we did the metal craft. Today we did ceramics. Our teacher asked us used a morning time to develop our object. I tried to make my object have different shapes. In the afternoon, our teacher taught us how to use the tools to make shape in  the mire and how to make the mire ,and some matters needing attention.  And we started to do our works.wp-1478615504344.jpg

I used these tools to do my works. The first thing was use the rolling pin to make the mire to a circle, then I used the cookie cutter to cut circle and used the knife, plastic tool, wooden ceramic tool to make shape in the circle. These things were very easy, but these works were very easy to break. At the end of this class, I finished four works.

Do ceramic when there are many things to note, such as can not put too much water in the mud, fragments can not be repeated together to use this would like to break the work, should try to get clean debris, or baked out ugly .img_20161104_142405.jpg
